When you were a
teenager, if you had been coached about money as you were coached about
sports, would your "money game" be better today?

Games of Baseball & Money
Strike
Zone: The Games of Baseball & Money is a financial coming of age novel that coaches young
teens about baseball, making money, and making money work for them.
Frankly, anyone who is seeking money maturity will find value in this
story about high school freshman Dan Martin, and his efforts to succeed
on the playing fields of baseball and money.
S. L. Hudson earned a masters degree in
education from Harvard University,
with a concentra-tion in administration, planning, and social policy,
and has drawn upon personal experiences and business classics to write Strike Zone.
Hudson played AAU
softball as a teen, taught in the public schools, became an
entrepreneur, and a corporate trainer for business development.
As a corporate trainer, Hudson's
adult students frequently remarked they wished they had known how to
play the money game when they were young. Hudson
could empathize. "Most of the knowledge I share in Strike Zone I acquired when I was close to the age of
retirement. That major deficit in my education motivated me to write
this book."
Young readers have the opportunity to take a swing at concepts
about:
-
sales
- marketing
- negotiation
- decision-making
- strategy
- planning
- budgeting
- compound interest
- the secret of 72
The speed, spin, and curve of the ideas pitched in this book are in
a young teen's Strike Zone. Hudson
hopes they will connect and score big.
